William J. Malone, Board Director & Continuous Improvement Committee Chairperson

 

Bill joined ArtWorks' Board of Directors in August 2009. He is a seasoned, committed senior workforce development professional with multi-faceted experience in all phases of program operations. 

Currently, Bill serves as Youth Development Coordinator at the Milwaukee Department of City Development, focusing on Earn & Learn, program, Milwaukee’s youth employment and development initiative, and the Life Ventures Partnership, a collaborative public/private initiative to promote the future vitality of Milwaukee’s regional economy by preparing young people to become life-long learners, productive workers and self-sufficient citizens. 

Bill has served as an Adjunct Faculty member at  Bryant & Stratton College, teaching Critical Thinking and Human Relations. 

Bill has also been Director of Employment Services at Milwaukee Center For Independence and Workforce Development Administrator at the Private Industry Council of Milwaukee County.

Bill earned his Master of Liberal Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  He currently serves as a member of the Wisconsin Rehabilitation Council.

Bill grew up in Boston, but has lived in Milwaukee for over 35 years.  He is married with one teenage daughter.
