Board of Directors: Lucia Lozano
Lucia Lozano joined the Board of Directors at Artworks for Milwaukee in May 2009. She was born and raised in Colombia and has a background in fine arts. Lucia has lived in the Milwaukee area for the past nine years.
For more than 20 years Lucia has been working in communications and advertising, and has worked in the nonprofit sector in Colombia and Pennsylvania where she lived before moving to Milwaukee.
Lucia is now focusing her efforts within Milwaukee's nonprofit sector, particularly in the Hispanic community. She brings diversity to our organization, having lived in different countries and experienced numerous cultures. She's fluent in English, Spanish, and French, and has a variety of skills and experience in communications strategies, public relations, copywriting, graphic design, and illustration. Lucia is excited to play a role with ArtWorks for Milwaukee.
Lucia's education includes an undergraduate degree in Communications with a specialization in Social Development Studies at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. She has also studied art and illustration with renowned artists in Colombia, at the Art Students League in New York, and with watercolorists Thea Kovac and Jean Crane in Milwaukee.
Lucia resides in Mequon with her husband, Dan Musickant, their daughter Gabriela, and Yogi, their lovingly exasperating puppy.
