Board of Directors: Sean McNichols
Sean McNichols joined the Artworks for Milwaukee Board of Directors in February 2010. He has attended both Marquette University and Cardinal Stritch University, earning a Psychology degree and an MBA, respectively. He spent 8 years providing direct clinical care to adolescents with eating disorders, and their families and then moved into marketing and business development for a psychiatric care facility in Milwaukee. Sean has worked most recently with Abbott Laboratories as the Senior Manager of Strategic Curriculum Development. Sean has also served on the Board of Directors for the Milwaukee Yacht Club in membership recruitment, long range planning and fund raising capacities.
When not at Abbott, Sean generally enjoys any competitive endurance challenge, having completed: a Tin-Man triathlon(half of an Iron Man), The Minnesota Border-to-Border triathlon twice (500 miles over 4 days), the Mt. Ranier-to-the-Pacific 24 hour run, the Chicago-to-Mackinac Island sailing race (three times), a 250 mountain bike ride from Telluride, CO to Moab, UT, and climbing Mt. Ranier.
Sean brings extensive experience in adolescent development, curriculum development, and leadership. His goal in taking on this role is to achieve meaningful and lasting change for Milwaukee high school students, struggling with obstacles to employability.
