Interns did a great job of showcasing their individual and group collages, self-love selfie relief prints, and collaborative peace wheel to the public. On Friday, we enjoyed the energy of Plaid Tuba. On Saturday, we moved down to the 9to5 space, where interns led an interactive relief printing activity for Gallery Day attendees. Saturday culminated with a graduation ceremony in which interns presented their visual work, recited poetry they had written in a workshop during their ArtWorks program. Some interns also showcased their dancing talents.
Notably, ArtWorks intern alum Jeremy Wilbur and collaborator Leo also created a painting live on Saturday. It was awesome having an alum working on a project like this, and we're looking forward to having them back again soon!
Thank you to Leanne, Kathy, Chase Goodworks volunteers, 9to5, and others for donating your time this weekend and making the programs run smoothly.
Special thanks to lead artist Kim Loper and program volunteer Laree Pourier for your consistently stellar work these last two months. Big thanks to the interns for all your hard work at ArtWorks. You did a fantastic job. Congratulations!
