ArtWorks is looking for a qualified lead artist to guide interns through the process of creating artwork, while training them in essential job skills. The lead artist will receive training in 21st Century job skills, on which the program is based, but the artist should have experience in working with youth and creating and supervising a project. The lead artist will be involved in interviewing and selecting the interns as well as evaluating their performance during the program. For the fall program, ArtWorks is ideally interested in a graphic design or animation project with anti-violence theme. Projects would run 10 hrs./week for 8 weeks from mid-September to mid-November during after-school hours. The lead artist will receive a stipend of $2,000 with an additional budget for art supplies.
