ArtWorks' intern, Ranetta talks about what the Wearable Words interns have been working on in the past week: "Our lead artist, Kasia explained the activities we would do during the mid-point reviews when we have Open Studio time. We learned how to do stenciling with Freezer Paper, Shibori dyeing and Discharge dyeing on fabric. We also made a Color Wheel and learned about mixing paints and color theory. Some of the terms we learned were Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Colors, and the color relationships are complementary, analogous and split complementary. We will be using these to create three Sample Designs for our Backpacks."
Ranetta and the rest of her intern team will be unveiling their backpacks and journals at ArtWorks' 5th annual Night by the River benefit on November 8. Find out more and buy your tickets online!
