Lead artists Dwight & Marquis Gilbert of H2O Milwaukee will teach skills in music and video production, recording and mixing, songwriting and performing, to create a music video about the negative impact of gun violence and how to prevent it. ArtWorks interns will learn about gun violence in Milwaukee and will share their knowledge through an original music video presented to the public. This program will be hosted at Neighborhood House.
Lead artist Reynaldo Hernandez taught skills in mural design and mural painting. ArtWorks interns created a large mural on a wall under the 35th Street Bridge, focusing on the history and culture of the neighborhood. Interns unveiled the mural by participating in a community event at the end of the summer, the Silver City International Food and Art Walk.
