Afterwards, the team will create a design capturing the essence of the stories shared and honoring the vibrant lives in the area, and then paint the mural and sculptures. A portion of the painting process will be open to community residents.
During the design process there will be an opportunity, not a requirement, to learn some Adobe Photoshop for interns who are interested. This program builds cooperation skills, good listening skills and a willingness to stretch beyond one's comfort zone. Public workshops and design sessions are conducted under the guidance of lead artist Tia Richardson.
