At NAMIWalks 2024, our CAPE interns showcased their creativity with a unique buttons project, enhancing mental health advocacy. They independently managed a button-making booth at the Milwaukee County Zoo, engaging attendees with custom-designed buttons that carried messages of hope and solidarity. Each design was mindfully created to offer attendees a variety of options for showing their support for mental health awareness, whether for their own mental health journey or on behalf of someone else.
Alongside, their contributions included sales of our interns created stress-relieving coloring books, face painting, and inspirational 'chalking the walk' quotes that interns designed and applied to the paths surrounding the zoo. Their efforts not only promoted mental wellness but also highlighted the power of art in fostering community support and awareness.
