Environmental Arts Internship

Our Environmental Arts paid internship is an ArtWorks for Milwaukee program that utilizes community art to help spread environmental awareness, education, and advocacy. Our program’s mission is to guide the professional and creative development of our interns through the creation of community-focused, environmentally conscious, public artwork.

Featured Projects

During 2023-24 programming, the environmental arts(EA) interns learned about the intersections of career skills, art, and activism as they worked collaboratively with communities to create public works of art that promote awareness and action around environmental justice, in partnership with Green Tech Station, Northwest Side Community Development Corporation, WaterMarks, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, Samuel Clemens Elementary School, Reflo, Riveredge Nature Center, Arts@Large, Secure Futures, Ex Fabula, and Quad MKE.
