A vibrant mosaic sculpture made entirely with recycled materials has been completed for the MMSD West Basin project, thanks to the dedication of our 2023-24 environmental arts interns.

In partnership with the Northwest Side Community Development Corporation and Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the interns designed and created a stunning two-panel mural using recycled bottle caps. The artwork celebrates the plants and pollinators vital to our local ecosystems and will be featured in the basin’s design, supporting its mission to manage stormwater sustainably and provide a thriving public greenspace for the community.
