A vibrant mosaic sculpture made with recycled plastic bottle caps has been completed and installed at the MMSD West Basin project, thanks to the dedication of our 2023-24 environmental arts interns.

In partnership with the Northwest Side Community Development Corporation and Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the interns designed and created a stunning two-panel mural using recycled bottle caps. The artwork celebrates the plants and pollinators vital to our local ecosystems and will remain on display throughout the project's construction phase, supporting the basin’s mission to manage stormwater sustainably and provide a thriving public greenspace for the community.
