The final unveiling of our 2024-25 CAPE program was a resounding success, brilliantly showcasing the strides our interns made while furthering our mission to improve mental health awareness, education, and acceptance.
Family, friends, and workforce members gathered at the newly updated CAPE program space—complete with a stunning mural wall installation by Minuteman Press Brookfield—to celebrate the interns' impactful projects and volunteer efforts. The interns showcased their work spanning personal branding, Black Arts Fest MKE 2024, and NAMIWalks 2024. They also debuted their coloring book release, Be Your Own Hero: The Stress Relieving Coloring Book Volume 3. Notably, coloring book sales of Volumes 1, 2, and 3 reached an all-time high!
Additionally, interns showed tremendous growth by confidently pricing and selling their own art while bravely sharing their experiences over the past program year. Despite any initial fears, they spoke passionately about the lasting connections they made and the personal development they achieved.
Through graphic design initiatives, the interns exemplified CAPE’s mission of improving access to resources, dismantling stigmas surrounding mental health, and fostering healthier perceptions. This celebration was filled with laughter, happy tears, and warm hugs—a testament to the powerful impact this program has on individuals and communities alike.
Congratulations to our interns for exemplifying resilience, creativity, and purpose!
